Pandit Rajan Mishra was a singer and composer of the khyal style of Indian classical music. He represented the Banaras Gharana.

Panditji  was born and brought up in Varanasi and received his initial music training from Bade Ram Das Ji Mishra and also his father Hanuman Prasad Mishra. He started performing while still in his teens. He along with his younger brother Sajan Mishra gave their first concert abroad in Sri Lanka in 1978, and went on to perform in many countries across the world including, Germany,France,Austria , USA, USSR to name a few. He was Awarded the  Gandharwa National Award for 1994-95, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1998, and the Padma Bhushan in 2007.

Pandit Rajan Mishra Breathed his last on April 25, 2021 in Delhi due to Covid 19 complications.
