One of South India’s most prominent choreographers ,whose illustrious career stretched four decades, had worked in nearly 800 films covering 10 languages.
Shiv Shankar ‘Master’ , as he is known in the film industry ,was a versatile artist who trained under veteran choreographer Salim, and acted in nearly 30 films mostly at the directors request. As a judge for a dance reality show on TV , he became a household name. He was awarded the National Film Awards in 2009 for best choreography, besides he has won Tamil Nadu State Film Award a number of times for choreography.
He had tested positive for Covid 19 and was hospitalized , his health condition worsened and he breathed his last on 28th November 2021.
