Passed away on 15-11-2020

My youngest sister, Mrs. Aparna Bhattacharya who has been my source of inspiration and an epitome of solidarity taught me the most realistic lesson on 15th November, 2020. At the age of 50 she passed away due to Covid just a couple of days prior to Kali Puja.

Being the youngest family member she has been the most loved one amongst all of us. Nonetheless, she proved to be the most mature with rational gestures and philanthropic attitude. My bonding with her has been the most cherished one till date and will continue to remain the same till the last day. She was always there for me with solutions whenever in need. She was just a call away in moments of distress and she would show me thousand possibilities to fight back. We had quarrels but not conflicts; differed in opinions but not in values or commitments.

Her date of demise is a major event of my life. Her married life spanned 25 years and has a beautiful daughter. She was a gifted singer but never thought of taking it up professionally. An outstanding cook who never ceased to surprise with innovative and mouth-watering delicacies. From creative aspects to spiritual conversation, from being a cricket fan to becoming a friend, philosopher and guide she tackled multiple aspects with equal efficiency.

I feel her presence in every moment now and in all that I do. She is an extension and will forever reside within me.
