Passed away on 27-12-2020

Baba was the epitome of integrity, discipline, duty and honour. As I come to terms with his unexpected death, every bit of his reminiscence inspires me to the core. A man of his words, I am not the only one he inspired. He was so particular about his personal belongings that today even after his death all his belongings are kept in the same order in his wardrobe. To him police service was an honour and he gave to his service his blood and sweat, his heart and his soul. 15 years ago while performing traffic duty in Kolkata police two buses pounded on him and his spine got hurt. Ever since that day he could never lie down in bed to sleep.  I always got baba seated in bed with two pillows in his back while sleeping. But even after such a physical blow he never took a day off from his duty. During the Covid 19 pandemic he fought with the situation on the field. The consequences were inevitable. The symptoms of cold and flu were detected on the 17th of December and he was Covid positive. Within a span of 10 days that were full of turmoil my baba finally took a day off from his duty and left us for the heavenly abode. As I put down my remorse and grief, I feel his existence, his morals, his discipline and his sense of selfless service.

 "Baba with u, for u, always ".
